Benton City Community Yard Sale Is Back

The Benton City community wide yard sale is returning this June.

There will be dozens of sales all over the greater Benton City area for the City’s 17^th annual community wide yard sale. The event is set for Saturday June 11 from 8 A.M. to 3 P.M. Sales will be set up in the park as well as at participants homes.

“In the years past, the park has filled up. Due to COVID last year we only had maps for the homes, and that was a huge turnout,” Suzan Benningfield, a Benton City Chamber employee said.

“This year we will be having it in the park which I’m already anticipating we will have a much larger turnout. Because, like I said, last year was when I joined the chamber, and it was only at the homes,” Benningfield said.

This event is open to all Benton City addresses only. Addresses participating will be added to a map as a destination for anyone to follow. Anyone who wishes to sell at this event must register before June 4 on bentoncitychamber.org/communitywideyardsale.

The Director of Public Relations for the Benton City Chamber of Commerce Windy Welch said that there are two parking lots on Dale Avenue directly across from the City Park. There is additional parking surrounding the park on 8^th and 9^th street.

“Use the map to maximize your yard sale experience. There will be a printed map or a Google map you can use from your phone,” Welch said. These maps will be available after June 7.

There is under a month left to register. “We already got sign-ups for it; I’m looking at about maybe 20 sign-ups so far. So, that’s a good start,” Benningfield said.
